Appendix - Portage Lake Watershed Forever Plan
Township Recreation Plan
Recreational Features
There is no shortage of things to do in the Onekama and surrounding areas.
In summer, it is hard to beat the Charter Fishing, boating or swimming on Portage Lake. Jump waves or get some sun on the sandy shores of Lake Michigan beach or go for a hike at Lake Bluff Audubon Center. For the duffers and pros alike, take advantage of golfing in Manistee County or take the family for a tour of one of many museums.
In the winter, enjoy snowmobiling on groomed trails, skiing at Crystal Mountain, ice fishing on Portage Lake or a movie at the charming Vogue Theatre in downtown Manistee…
Whatever you decide, we know you will enjoy your stay!
