Description

With the fast- flowing waters of Schimke Creek rippling and winding through this wooded setting, Carden Park offers an excellent opportunity for fishing in a natural setting. Lots 24 and 25 in the Hugh Kenny Subdivision were donated by members of the Carden family in 1994 to Onekama Township in honor of the late Clarence C. “Bud” Carden. This park, which is used by nearby residents for fishing, would be classified as a “natural resource area” that is preserving a wooded stream. It was dedicated as “Carden Park“ in 2005. The Park is marked with a rustic wooden sign and is easily accessible from Kay Street, on which it fronts.
