Description

A bubbling stream runs at the eastern edge of this mini-park that has two historical markers telling of Rotary Founder Paul P. Harris, who summered for many years nearby. The markers are surrounded by ornamental plantings. Shade trees also have been planted in Rotary Park, which was dedicated in memory of Harris in 1991, when the Park was developed by the Manistee Rotary Club. This area, which provides open space, is marked as a park in the 1903 Standard Atlas of Manistee County, Michigan, George A. Ogle & Co., Chicago, in the plat of the West Addition to Onekama.
